The population encouraged to practice agriculture during the dry season to increase production

On April 02, 2022, Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana, Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, joined the population of Ngarama village, in Ruyigi commune and province, in the harvesting of maize in Ngarama village, in a provincial field.

In his message to the population, Honorable Nshimirimana thanked the administrative authorities for the various development projects which they keep on accomplishing.

He advised the administrative authorities and those responsible for the agricultural sector to serve as a model for the population.

The Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate ended his speech by urging the population to practice agriculture even during the dry season by irrigating the fields, in order to increase production.

In the afternoon of the same day, during the exchange of wishes for the year 2022 during the reunion of members of the association “Solidarité des Militaires et Policiers Natifs de Ruyigi” (SOMIPONAR), Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana thanked those who created this association which gathers members of the defence and security corps of that province.

He urged them to contribute to the creation of a new association which would bring together the civilian population of this administrative area.

Honourable Nshimirimana advised them to be regularly present in their respective households in order to perpetuate a climate of understanding.
