Village notables invited to be impartial and avoid corruption

In the morning of Monday, September 12, 2022, the Speaker of the Senate, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, participated in the elections of the hill notables of his Nyambuye native hill in Isare commune, Bujumbura province.

In an interview with the press, the Right Honourable Sinzohagera indicated that the institution of notables will remarkably contribute to the resolution of land disputes since these notables are close to the population.

The President of the Senate wished the notables to be impartial and to avoid corruption. He also advised the population to accept the verdict of this institution and to have confidence in it.
