This three-day workshop, taking place from November 3rd to 5th, 2025, is being held at the Royal Palace Hotel in Mugere Commune, Bujumbura Province.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\">The opening ceremonies of the workshop were presided over by the Senate Speaker, the Right Honourable Gervais Ndirakobuca. In his address, he stated that program-based budgeting is a planning and management tool designed to build capacity and to monitor and evaluate development programmes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.senat.bi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/2.jpeg\" width=\"309\" height=\"206\" \/>The Right Honourable Ndirakobuca explained that this approach improves the capacity of public action and brings greater transparency to budget management.
