In the year two thousand and twenty-five, on the thirtieth day of April, the Senators met in the Senate Chamber for the 235th plenary session of the Sixth Legislature to consider the following items:
- adoption of the amended program of activities planned for the period from April 17 to 30, 2025;
- analysis and adoption of the draft program of activities to be carried out for the period from May 1 to 9, 2025.
This session, chaired by the Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza, Second Deputy-Speaker of the Senate, was attended by 20 Senators and began, as usual, with a prayer at 10:26 a.m.
Opening the session, the Second Deputy-Speaker of the Senate first welcomed the honourable senators present and extended greetings from the Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, Speaker of the Senate, and the Honourable Denise Ndadaye, First Deputy-Speaker of the Senate, who are on a working mission abroad.
Then, the president of the session presented the amended program of activities planned for the period from April 17 to 30, 2025 and the draft program of activities planned for the period from May 1 to 9, 2025. Both programs were unanimously adopted.
Before closing, he wished the honourable senators a happy Labor Day. The session, which took place in a climate of total understanding, was closed at 10:40 a.m. with a prayer.
