December 16, 2022Exchange workshop with local elected officials on “the principles of democratic governance at the local level”
December 19, 2022On Monday, December 19, 2022, the Senate of the Republic of Burundi continued his exchanges with the members of the bureau of the communal councils on the principles of good governance in the regions of the East (Cankuzo, Ruyigi and Rutana) and the center (Gitega ,Muramvya, Karusi and Mwaro).
The First Deputy of the Senate, Honourable Dénise Ndadaye, coordinated these activities in the East region while the 2nd Deputy Speaker, Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana, coordinated those in the Center region.
The objective of these exchanges is still to collect the challenges that the communal leaders encounter during the accomplishment of their missions so that the Upper House of the Burundian Parliament proposes solutions relating to the Head of State and the Speaker of the ‘National Assembly.
