The population of Ruyigi urged to protect environment and promote coffee growing

On Saturday, June 10, 2023, Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza, the Second Deputy speaker of the Senate, accompanied by a senator from Ruyigi constituency, joined the population of Nyagahanda village, Nyabitsinda zone and commune, Ruyigi province, in the work of bringing together stones and earthworks of the construction site of the village office.

Addressing the participants in this work, Honourable Nkurunziza called them to the good management of their harvest and the fight against polygamy.

He also called on them to protect the environment, in particular by avoiding bush fires, and to fight against fraud.

The second Deputy-speaker of the Senate advised the population of this province to promote coffee cultivation, maintain well social infrastructure and buckle down to field work in the marshes during this period of dry season.

He called on young people in general to pursue studies relentlessly and young girls in particular, to avoid early pregnancies.
