Burundians invited to love and help each other

On Sunday, April 17, 2022, the Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, joined the Christians of the “Church of the Rock” (Eglise du Rocher) , in Rubuye quarter, in the chief town of Ngozi province, in a prayer of celebration of the Easter feast.

Addressing Christians, the Right Honourable Sinzohagera said that Easter reminds us of God’s extraordinary love for his people. He invited Burundians to love and help one another in everything and everywhere.

The Senate Speaker did not fail to invite Burundians to continue to protect themselves against Covid-19 by washing their hands frequently. To students on holidays, he appealed them to get tested before returning to boarding schools.

The Right Honourable Sinzohagera, in his preaching, focused his teachings on the scriptures found in the books of Matthew 28:1-6; 2 Corinthians 5:15; Colossians 3:1-3 where he wished them to win victory over ignominious death, to abide in the Lord and to avoid sin in order to inherit the kingdom of heaven.

At the end of the prayer, the Christians of that Church offered him gifts consisting of agro-pastoral products.
