Departure of the Senate Speaker to the Republic of Kenya to participate in the 18th meeting of the Bureau of Speakers of Parliaments of the EAC

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in the afternoon, the Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, embarked for the Republic of Kenya. He will participate in the 18^th meeting of the Bureau of Speakers of Parliaments of member countries of the East African Community (EAC), which will be held in Nairobi on November 13, 2024.

This meeting is of particular importance because it will be an opportunity to establish a new office of Speakers of the EA C Parliaments. Participants will also discuss issues relating to the daily life of the Community, while analyzing the issues raised during the previous meeting in order to propose appropriate solutions.

Furthermore, the 18^th meeting will review the progress of preparations for the 14^th edition of the Inter-Parliamentary Games, scheduled to take place in Mombasa from December 6 to 18, 2024. This sporting event is eagerly awaited and represents an opportunity to strengthen ties between the parliaments of member countries.
