Distribution of 900 desks to schools in Bujumbura province

Together with the members of the CNDD-FDD party in Bujumbura province, the Speaker of the Senate, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, proceeded, on Friday, February 03, 2023, in Isare commune, to the delivery of 900 desks to the nine communes of this province which means 100 per commune.

On this occasion, Right Honourable Sinzohagera, in his message, welcomed the financial contribution of natives and members of the CNDD-FDD of Bujumbura province, for the making of these desk benches.

He indicated that the education sector is facing a shortage of school materials, adding  that the natives of this province have been sensitized to intervene in the purchase of books for teachers and students. “It is more important to support the education of children for their bright future and that of the country,” he added.

In addition, the Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament urged parents, teachers and administrative authorities to become more involved in promoting children’s education.

Shortly before, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera had taken part in a meeting held for CNDD-FDD party representatives in different communes of Bujumbura province.

In his remarks, he reminded the members of this party that the Almighty honoured the CNDD-FDD party for leading Burundi in order to validly and indiscriminately represent Burundian people.

He did not fail to call on the members of this party to take the lead in implementing the recommendations of the President of the Republic of Burundi, H.E Evariste Ndayishimiye, by working selflessly to fight against poverty.
