On August 3, 2024, the Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by the Minister of Public Health and the Fight against AIDS, Dr Lydwine Baradahana, joined forces with the inhabitants of Isare, his native commune , in Bujumbura province, during the celebration ceremonies of the communal festival, which took place on Nyarumpongo village, in the zone Rushubi.
In his speech, the Right Honourable Sinzohagera urged the inhabitants of this commune to love and help one another. He asked them to avoid any form of injustice, and to take on different tasks to develop.
The Right Honourable Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament reminded them that this celebration is an opportunity for them to recognize that the commune is theirs, and to contribute to its development through the accomplishment of different projects. He appreciated the economic situation of this commune, and thanked its administrative officials for the equitable treatment of its villages.
These ceremonies were enhanced by traditional songs and dances.
Towards the end of the festivities, the participants shared, in a friendly atmosphere, local food and drinks.
