She indicated that the conference participants emphasized that peace-building is achieved through dialogue, and that the Honorable Senators play a leading role in strengthening dialogue both at the national and international levels, as evidenced by the Burundian dialogue in resolving conflicts that have opposed them for decades. “At the end of this conference, we committed to consolidating the work of regional and continental parliamentary unions to strengthen cooperation, mutual assistance, and exchange views on the various challenges that haunt our countries,” she said.
Furthermore, she indicated that the conference participants committed to supporting scientific research to develop technology and artificial intelligence and to using it effectively. The First Deputy-speaker of the Senate also indicated that the women parliamentarians agreed that countries in conflict, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Palestine, and South Sudan, could be supported so that dialogue could be used to end the wars that destabilize and cause grief to innocent people.
On the sidelines of this conference, Honorable Ndadaye indicated that she was received by the President of the House of Councilors of the Kingdom of Morocco and current President of ASSECAA, and they discussed bilateral cooperation between Burundi and the Kingdom of Morocco, on the one hand, and between the two senatorial institutions, on the other hand.
