In the year two thousand and twenty-five, on the nineteenth day of August, senators gathered in the Senate Chamber for the 5th plenary session of the seventh legislature to adopt the programme of events for the period from August 20 to September 2, 2025.
This session, chaired by the Right Honourable Gervais NDIRAKOBUCA, Senate Speaker, was attended by 12 senators and began at 10:30 a.m.
Opening the session, the Speaker of the Senate presented the programme of events, which was unanimously adopted as presented.
Following the adoption of the programme, several presentations were made. First, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate presented the format and content of the proposed badge to the Honourable senators for their comments before proceeding with its approval. The badge was approved with a few comments.
Second, the Speaker of the Senate invited the Honourable senators who are members of the standing committees responsible for the matter to begin analysing the bills.
Finally, the Senate Speaker asked for the Honourable senators to proceed to the mourning site of the late father of the Honourable Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate to join her in this time of great trial.
The proceedings of this session, which took place in an atmosphere of perfect harmony, concluded at 11:00 a.m. with a prayer.
