SUMMARY REPORT OF THE PLENARY SESSION OF JUNE 5, 2024

In the year two thousand and twenty-four, on the fifth day of June, senators gathered in the Senate hemicycle in Gitega for the 193rd plenary session of the sixth legislature to:

• adopt the amended program of activities that were planned for the period from May 22 to June 5, 2024;
• analyze and adopt the draft program of activities planned for the period from June 6 to 18, 2024.

The work which was led by Right Honorable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA, Speaker of the Senate, saw the participation of 27 senators. The session began as usual, with a prayer at 10:20 a.m.

Opening this session, the Speaker of the Senate first welcomed all the senators who were present at this work. Then, the President of the session presented the two aforementioned programs to them and they were adopted unanimously by the honorable senators present.

The session, which took place in a very relaxed atmosphere, was closed at 10:30 a.m. with a prayer.
