The year two thousand and twenty-two, on the seventh day of September, senators met in the hemicycle of the Senate for the 103rd plenary session of the sixth legislature relating to approve a candidate for the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Burundi.
The session was chaired by the Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA. This session, which saw the participation of 33 senators, began, as usual, with a prayer at 12:21 p.m.
Proceeding to the opening of the meeting, the Senate Speaker welcomed the Honourable senators present before presenting them the modified programme. The latter was analyzed and unanimously adopted.
Thereafter, the Right Honourable Speaker of the Senate proceeded to the reading of correspondence addressed to him by His Excellency President of the Republic having for object the request for approval by the Senate of the candidate for the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Burundi in the person of Lieutenant General of Police Gervais NDIRAKOBUCA.
After the reading of the candidate’s curriculum vitae, the Honourable senators proceeded to vote and the name of the candidate was approved unanimously.
The session, which took place in an atmosphere of perfect understanding, ended with a prayer at 12:35 p.m.
