The year two thousand and twenty-five, on the eightieth day of September, senators gathered in the Senate hemicycle of for the 9th session of the seventh legislature under the chairmanship of the Right Honourable Gervais NDIRAKOBUCA, senate Speaker to:
- adopt the modified programme of events scheduled for the period running from 17 to 30 September 2025;
- approve the name of a candidate to the position of the Deputy Inspector General of Burundi National Police.
That session, which was attended by 11 senators and a representative of the government, namely Honourable Léonidas NDARUZANIYE, Minister of Home Affairs, Community Development and Public Security, started at 16:38 with a prayer.
Opening the session, the Senate Speaker first greeted the congregation and, thereafter, presented the modified programme of activities in course for adoption.
At the end of the adoption, the President of the session proceeded to read the correspondence addressed to him by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Burundi transmitting the name and curriculum vitae of Police Brigade General, Emmanuel NDAYIZIGA, proposed for the post of Deputy Inspector General of the Burundi National Police.
After the presentation of the candidate’s curriculum vitae, the Honourable senators unanimously approved the name of the proposed candidate.
