On Sunday May 09, 2021, the Speaker of the Senate, the Right Honourable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA, together with his family, senators elected in the constituency of the Town Hall of Bujumbura and some administrators of that locality, joined the faithful of the Church “SHEMEZA Worship Temple” located in Rohero zone of Mukaza commune, in Bujumbura city, in a Sunday prayer.
The Right Honourable SINZOHAGERA, in his speech, launched a vibrant appeal to Burundians to thank the Almighty because within one year only after His Excellency Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE was elected President of the Republic of Burundi, almost all the sanctions taken against Burundi are already lifted.
He also invited city dwellers to initiate gutter cleaning programmes during this ending period of the rainy season. In addition, the Senate Speaker thanked the Mayor of the city of Bujumbura in view of his decision to demolish the buildings erected near the gutters.
In addition, the Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament reminded the faithful of the Church “SHEMEZA Worship Temple” that the Covid-19 remains a current threat, and recommended them to continue to protect themselves against this pandemic by respecting the barrier measures and seek treatment in case of signs.
The Right Honourable SINZOHAGERA finally saluted the activities carried out by this Church during its 18 months of existence.
