The Speaker of the Senate, together with his wife, joined the people of Kinyinya commune, Ruyigi province, in the work of mixing the concrete used for the construction of a prayer room for the United Methodist Church on Kinazi zone.
In his remarks, the Right Honourable Sinzohagera advised the population that was gathered there to keep on being vigilant while preserving peace and security in their localities, to safeguard the harvest, to avoid cohabitation and to fight against fraud.
In view of the problem that haunts the population of Kinyinya commune, in connection with the rehabilitation of the RN ( National Road) 11 joining the provinces of Ruyigi and Rutana, he said that this issue is very worrying and he clarified that the authorized bodies will take care of it.
Regarding the lack of electric current, the Speaker of the Senate indicated that Nyabitsinda commune is on the list of administrative entities which are not yet supplied. Concerning the insufficient supply of drinking water, he indicated that the Senate will organize an oral questioning session with the Minister responsible for water in his attributions in order to ask him how he plans to solve this problem.
The Senate Speaker called on all parishes of the United Methodist Church to contribute to the nation’s development work and to work in collaboration with other faiths as “Many hands make light work”.
He invited the faithful of this Church to contribute so that the construction of this Church should be completed within a reasonable time.
The Right Honourable Sinzohagera also advised the population to have a patriotic sense, to obey the law by demolishing all houses built along the RN11 at a distance of less than 6 meters and to fight against Covid-19.
Finally, he asked the communal administration to supervise the students on holiday by organizing development work for them.
