On Sunday December 27, 2020, the Senate Speaker, Right Honorable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA, along with his family, some senators and other senior officials of that Institution, joined believers of Eglise Méthodiste Unie of Gatumba, in Mutimbuzi commune, Bujumbura Province, for a Sunday prayer.
In his remarks, Right Honorable SINZOHAGERA asked those who took part in that prayer to thank the Lord for all what he has done for them during this year which is soon coming to an end and to ask forgiveness for their shortcomings.
To this end, he called on them to adopt a good behavior during the coming year 2021 which looms on the horizon whether it is at the level of their families or their neighborhood. “All this will be possible through prayer,” he stressed.
The Speaker of the Upper House of Parliament called on the Christians of Eglise Méthodiste Unie of Gatumba to continue to protect themselves against dirty hands diseases by respecting every time barrier measures, in particular by avoiding shaking hands and washing their hands with clean water and soap.
In his preaching, Right Honorable SINZOHAGERA focused his teaching on the Word found in the book of Psalms 103: 1-10 and Psalms 105: 1-5. He invited believers of this Church to thank the Lord for all his blessings towards Burundi.
To conclude, the Senate Speaker gave them various pieces of advice, in particular asking them to avoid anything that could separate them from the Almighty.
