The Senate Speaker encourages the youth of EMUBU to preach the good news

On Sunday July 21, 2024, the Senate speaker and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church of Burundi (EMUBU), Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, in the company of his wife, the Honourable Senators elected in Bujumbura Town and the Mayor of the city, joined the faithful of this Church, Rohero Parish in a thanksgiving prayer.

During his teachings taken from John 14:1-6, he advised the faithful not to worry but to believe in God; to bless others and to have a tolerant heart. He reminded the faithful that each person was created to continue doing good in order to overcome evil.

He asked the elders of the Church to serve as good examples to the youth. “We want a youth filled with the Holy Spirit,” he insisted.

The Legal Representative of EMUBU encouraged the youth to go and preach the good news in different localities because they still have strength. “My thirst is to see young people full of strength of the Holy Spirit and working for the Church,” he said.

Let us recall that the delegations coming from different countries to take part in the annual conference of the Church, held in Gitega from July 17 to 20, 2024, also participated in this prayer.
