On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the Speaker of the Senate, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Right Honourable Gélase Daniel Ndabirabe, flew to the United Republic of Tanzania to attend the 15^th meeting of the Bureau of Speakers of the National Parliaments of the East African Community (EAC), held on 19 May 2023.

The Speaker of the National Assembly indicated that during this meeting, the participants will analyze the draft law establishing the Bureau of National Parliaments of the EAC as the constitutional body of this Community.

They will also discuss strengthening collaboration between the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) and the Parliaments of EAC member countries.
