On Sunday March 31, 2024, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, Speaker of the Senate and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church in Burundi, joined the faithful of this Church, in Kamenge parish, in the commune of Ntahangwa in Bujumbura Town, in the company of his wife and the senators elected in this constituency, to participate in the celebration of Easter.
He presented his wishes to the people of Burundi, wishing them that Easter should be a source of victory and change for all.
With this, he urged the faithful to work diligently to achieve the vision of an emerging Burundi by 2040 and developed country by 2060.
During his sermon, the Senate Speaker focused his teachings on the Holy Scriptures, referring to the gospel according to Saint Matthew 28:1-10. He invited the assembly to meet Jesus in order to find inner peace, to become new creatures and to obtain eternal life.
He expressed the hope that this Easter feast should bring victory to homes and throughout the country.
