The Senate Speaker and Bishop of the United Methodist Church in Burundi and Rwanda, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, joined the faithful of the United Methodist Church of Rohero Parish, in Mukaza Commune, Bujumbura City, during the Sunday prayer on June 1, 2025.
Based on God’s word from Genesis 8:22, which he used as a greeting to the worshippers present, the Right Honourable reminded them that the Lord is the God of the seasons, adding that these seasons are continually changing.
“A bad season may seem to last a long time, but the reassuring thing is that one day it will change.” This is one of God’s principles, and it applies to both spiritual and physical life,” he added.
He emphasized that since seasons will always exist, we should not worry about them, but rather adopt an appropriate attitude to each one.
Giving the example of King Hezekiah, who was sick to the point of death and begged God to heal him, which God did, the Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera encouraged the faithful to never tire of asking God for what they desire.
“We have right to do so,” he affirmed, adding that we can even remind God of the good works we have done, as Hezekiah did, and regain our lives in the name of the Lord.
