{"id":10095,"date":"2024-06-12T09:49:56","date_gmt":"2024-06-12T07:49:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/senat.bi\/en\/?p=10095"},"modified":"2024-06-12T09:49:56","modified_gmt":"2024-06-12T07:49:56","slug":"plenary-session-of-june-5-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/senat.bi\/en\/plenary-session-of-june-5-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"PLENARY SESSION OF JUNE 5, 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\">In the year two thousand and twenty-four, on the fifth day of June, senators met in the Senate hemicycle in Gitega for the 193rd plenary session of the sixth legislature to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\"><strong>adopt the modified program of activities that were planned for the period from May 22 to June 5, 2024;<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\"><strong>analyze and adopt the draft program of activities planned for the period from June 6 to 18, 2024.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\">The session was chaired by Right Honourable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA, Senate Speaker and was attended by 27 senators. It \u00a0began as usual, with a prayer at 10:20 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 20px;\">Opening this session, the SenateSpeaker first welcomed all the senators who were present.
