In the year two thousand and twenty-four, on the eleventh day of November, senators met in the hemicycle of the Senate for the 214th<\/sup> plenary session of the sixth legislature to approve the candidate magistrates proposed for appointment to the various judicial functions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The session was chaired by the Right Honorable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA, Speaker of the Senate. It was attended by 33 senators and a Government Representative, Mrs. Domine BANYANKIMBONA, Minister of Justice, and began, as usual, with a prayer at 10 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Opening the session, the chairman of the session first welcomed the honorable senators and the Minister delegated by the Government, and then read the decree of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Burundi convening the extraordinary session and the letter of transmission of the candidates for approval. After the reading, the Representative of the Government was invited to present the curricula vitae of the candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the presentation of the candidacies, the honorable senators went directly to the vote and all of the names of the candidates proposed were approved as shown in the tables below.<\/span><\/p>\n
