Hon. Emmanuel Sinzohagera, received in audience the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) delegation, led by Mr. Cl\u00e9ment No\u00e9 Ninziza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This delegation came to present, to the Senate, the report of the TRC achievements for this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rt. Hon. Sinzohagera appreciated the work done by the TRC during the year 2021. The work essentially focused on the events of 1972.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament also stressed that on the basis of the population\u2019s concerns collected during the visits, 50 years should be considered as a jubilee period and a new starting point that could coincide with the mutual forgiveness between the perpetrators and the victims.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On December 15, 2021, the Senate Speaker, Rt.
