On Friday April 1, 2022, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana, took part in a meeting to assess the achievements of Ruyigi province for the year 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In general, the Governor of this province said that there have been good achievements in all sectors of provincial life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nevertheless, the governor indicated that there are some challenges, notably the lack of qualified teachers, teaching benches and doctors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other problems encountered include land conflicts, the lack of transparency in the financial management of cooperatives, the low purchasing power that does not allow the supply of necessary products, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech, Honourable Nshimirimana called on communal leaders to help the cooperatives to organize general meetings in order to exchange on financial management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He invited development partners to comply with communal projects in their implementation and give work to cooperatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the framework of stopping the cases of pupils dropping out, Honourable Nshimirimana suggested that there should be organized general states of education at the communal and provincial levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also urged that some localities be electrified in order to extend the town of Ruyigi centre and recover the state properties, which have been despoiled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
