The Speaker of the Senate calls on Christians to avoid hatred and rancor

The Senate Speaker and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church in Burundi, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by certain administrative officials of the province of Ruyigi, joined the faithful of the Pentecost Nyamutobo Church, in the capital of this province, during the Sunday celebration prayer, closing a four-day crusade, Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Right Honourable Sinzohagera told them that the grace of God has manifested itself for the salvation of all men, and that it teaches them to renounce impiety and the lusts of this world, to live in the present time in a reasonable manner, with justice and piety.

He reminded them that it was by the grace of God that they woke up well this morning, and urged them to be characterized by humility, honesty and respect for God.

The Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament invited all Christians to choose life, opting for repentance. He asked them to be guided by the Holy Spirit, avoiding hatred, grudges and all kinds of sin. He also invited them to bear good fruit, like a tree planted near water.
