Leaders urged to maintain hope in God

Under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Burundi, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, members of the Senate Bureau, senators, and senior officials of this institution participated in the 16^th edition of the National Prayer Breakfast, held on March 31, 2025, in the Palais des Congrès in Kigobe.

This event was held under the theme: “There is hope for those who believe,” taken from Job 14:7-9, and featured testimonies from former leaders of the country, recalling the trials they overcame through the grace of God who remained with them.

In his speech, the President of the Republic of Burundi urged leaders to protect the environment, maintain hope in God, serve all, love one another, and avoid all forms of discrimination. This event was also attended by members of the Bureau of the National Assembly, the Vice-president of the Republic of Burundi, the Prime Minister, former Head of State Sylvestre NTIBANTUNGANYA, former First Ladies, State officials as well as guests from the United States of America and representatives of State institutions.
