The population of Bukemba urged to not illegally appropriate public property

During the parliamentary recess of March 2025, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Fabrice Nkrunziza, joined the local administration and members of the Council of Bukemba commune which he chairs, and they met to demarcate the state lands located on Bugiga village in this municipality of the Province of Rutana, on Wednesday, March 5. This initiative aims to protect these public lands.

In his speech, Honoorable Nkurunziza called on the population to refrain from any illegal appropriation of public property without the authorization of the competent authorities. His statements come at a time when cases of illegal appropriation of public lands by some inhabitants of the region have been observed.
