On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the Senate Speaker and Bishop of the United Methodist Church of Burundi and Rwanda, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by his family, a senator from Bujumbura City constituency, and other Bujumbura City officials, joined the faithful of the United Methodist Church of Burundi, Bujumbura District, Cibitoke Parish, for Sunday prayers.
Referring to the biblical verse from Psalm 13:1, the Senate Speaker and Bishop of the United Methodist Church of Burundi and Rwanda, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, invited all Christians in the Church to be united around the Church and to have patience, firm faith, and hope while waiting for their prayers to be answered. He noted that every Christian contributes to building the Church of Jesus Christ. The dark and shadowy times that everyone is going through should not be a time to become discouraged, but rather an opportunity to be strong, he added.

He indicated that even if in some cases, a Christian may feel forgotten or abandoned, God is at work. It is up to the Christian to have faith, patience, and hope in Jesus Christ, the Saviour. At the end of his sermon, the Right Honourable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA asked all Christians to have patience and sincere faith because God will not abandon his children, but will rather accomplish what He has promised.
