Le vendredi 5 janvier 2024, la Première Vice-présidente du Sénat, l’Honorable Denise Ndadaye, a reçu en audience, au bureau de liaison du Sénat à Bujumbura, une délégation de l’Assemblée Législative, Douma d’Etat de la Fédération de Russie.
Leur entretien a porté sur le renforcement des liens d’amitié et de coopération entre le Sénat burundais et la Douma.
Le chef de la délégation a indiqué que la Russie souhaite créer un centre d’apprentissage de la langue russe au Burundi et augmenter le nombre d’étudiants burundais dans ce pays.
Les deux parties ont également discuté de la nécessité de relancer un projet d’accord de coopération, initié en 2017, pour renforcer les relations d’amitié et de coopération entre la Douma et le Sénat du Burundi.
