Approval of Candidates to Ambassador Positions

On Thursday, January 21, 2021, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Burundi in its article 192, point 9, Burundi Senate unanimously approved 12 names of candidates (4 women and 8 men) for the positions of Ambassadors proposed by the Government.

They are: Ms. Evelyne HABONIMANA, Brigadier General Silas Pacifique NSAGUYE, Mr. Alexis BUKURU, Mr. Jean de Dieu NDIKUMANA, SH. Malachie Rachid NIRAGIRA, Mr. Nestor BANKUMUKUNZI, Mr. Jacques Ya’coub NAHAYO, Ms. Appolonie NIBONA, Maître Elisa NKERABIRORI, Amb. Zéphyrin MANIRATUNGA, Mrs. Marie Jeanne NTAKIRUTIMANA and Hon. Ildéphonse NTAWUNKUNDA.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, Amb. Albert SHINGIRO, represented the Government to provide explanations on those candidates.
