The First Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honourable Denise NDADAYE, accompanied by the Governor of Cibitoke province, a deputy elected in this constituency, some administrative authorities of Rugombo commune and those of Cibitoke province, joined the population of Karurama village in the construction work of a building which will house the management of the school for the disabled in Cibitoke province, on Saturday, March 30, 2024. This school will open its doors in September 2024.
In her message, Honourable Denise NDADAYE reminded women who were present that March 8 of this year, International Women’s Day, was celebrated under the theme “let’s walk together with women in development and in the increasing of production.”
Moreover, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate indicated that the role of women is essential in the development of the country, to achieve the vision of Burundi, an emerging country in 2040 and developed in 2060.
She then invited the population of Cibitoke to fight against cohabitation, closely monitor the education of their children, safeguard peace and security, pay taxes and continue to participate in community development activities.
On the sidelines of this community work, Honourable First Deputy Speaker of the Senate went to the Rusizi River to assess the progress of the construction of the bridge linking Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
