On Sunday, May 29, 2022, the Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by some parliamentarians, joined the Christians of the Golgotha Church of Kinama, in the commune Ntahangwa of Bujumbura Town, during a Sunday prayer.
Addressing these Christians and the Burundian people in general, he invited them to prepare properly for the feast of Pentecost. He also called on them to continue to respect the barrier measures against Covid-19 and to avoid consuming the meat of cattle, during this period of the Rift Valley fever which attacks them and infect humans.
He called on the inhabitants of the Town of Bujumbura to take advantage of this dry season to get down to community development activities every Saturday, ensuring sufficient hygiene of their homes in particular and of the whole city in general.
During his sermon, he called on these Christians to be persevering during times of difficulty, to keep their faith and to fulfill their promises to God in the event of the fulfillment of their wishes.
In the joy that characterized this celebration, these Christians offered him presents consisting of food products.
