On Tuesday, October 15, on the 2nd day of the ongoing work in Geneva, Switzerland, of the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Burundi Senate Speaker, Right Honorable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, along with his delegation, was received in audience by the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPU), Martin Chungong.
In a fruitful discussion, they exchanged on strengthening cooperation between this institution and the Parliament of Burundi, especially in the field of communication.
Another audience took place between Right Honorable Sinzohagera Emmanuel and the Deputy-speaker of the Senate of Russia, Honorable Konstantin Kosachev (Ph.D). Their exchange focused on exploring ways and means of cooperation between the two institutions.
The Burundi Senate Speaker and his delegation also took part in the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, marked by the continuation of speeches delivered by the Parliaments Speakers on the themes of the Assembly and the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Common Principles on Assistance to Parliaments.
