Bururi population urged to protect the environment and ensure good harvest management

On Saturday 15 July 2023, the Speaker of the Senate, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, accompanied by some of the parliamentarians elected in Bururi constituency, joined the people of Rwankona village, the zone Muzenga of Bururi commune, during the concreting of a classroom at Nyundo basic chool.

Addressing the participants, Right Honourable Sinzohagera asked them to protect the environment, in particular by planting trees and drawing contour lines. He urged them to take good care of their homes and manage their harvest properly.

The Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament called on parents to teach cultural values to their children. He encouraged young girls to continue their studies.

Right Honourable Sinzohagera promised a contribution of 70 bags of cement to the school, among which 50 bags on behalf of the Senate and 20 bags as his own contribution.
