On Saturday, October 03, 2020, the Senate Speaker, Right Honorable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, joined the population of Shombo commune, in Karusi province, in community development works which consisted in the construction of classrooms.
In his message to those who took part in those activities, he congratulated them for having been the first in the school results and for having preserved peace and security in that locality.
Right Honorable Sinzohagera exhorted inhabitants of that province to protect the environment in order to support the government program, “Ewe Burundi urambaye”.
To young people, he advised them not to go to work in Tanzania, but rather to join cooperatives for self-development.
The Speaker of the Upper House of Parliament took that opportunity to inform them that the Senate has just set up a special committee responsible for receiving various concerns from the population.
He further advised the population to control births and help vulnerable people. He took the opportunity to ask representatives of the population to behave like good fathers of families.
By the end of his message, Right Honorable Sinzohagera thanked Lord to continue protecting Burundian citizens against Covid-19 while asking them to keep up respecting hygiene measures.
