On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the First Deputy –Speaker of the Senate, the Honorable Denise Ndadaye, accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Cibitoke province Governor, joined the local population to participate in gutter cleaning work surrounding the modern Rugombo market, located on Mparambo I Village, in Rugombo commune.
In his speech to the participants, the Honorable Ndadaye called on the population to control demographics by planning births, emphasizing the importance of having children who can be supported materially. She also encouraged the authorities to watch over children in street situations, in collaboration with the ministry responsible for solidarity.
In addition, the First Deputy-Speaker of the Senate stressed the importance of protecting the environment to fight climate change. She recalled that the recent rains had caused material and human damage in several localities in the country.
The Honorable Denise Ndadaye also launched an urgent appeal to residents to increase their production by devoting themselves to agricultural activities and the breeding of various animals, in order to counter inflation in the markets.
Finally, she expressed her gratitude to the population of Cibitoke, particularly women, for their massive participation in this work.
