THE MINISTRY RESPONSIBLE FOR AGRICULTURE INVITED TO MAKE TOTAHAZA FERTILIZER AVAILABLE

The Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Honorable Fabrice Nkurunziza, along with some parliamentarians elected in the Karusi constituency, joined the residents of Muzenga village, Rusamaza zone, Gihogazi commune of Karusi province in community development work consisting of the maintenance and filling of potholes on the road linking the communes of Shombo and Gihogazi.

In his remarks, Honorable Fabrice Nkurunziza appreciated the participation of the population in community development work and was delighted with the way in which they practice modern agriculture.

To the question of the administrative authorities of this commune who expressed an urgent need for Totahaza fertilizer for good production, Honorable Fabrice Nkurunziza launched an appeal to the Ministry of Agriculture to make more efforts for availability on time these agricultural inputs and for the population to practice livestock farming to obtain organic manure.

The Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate also called on the population to prepare well for the elections, avoid rumors, and work on increasing production, plant fruit trees and agroforestry trees without forgetting the drawing of contour lines.
