Crusade of commemoration of one year after the death of His Excellency Pierre Nkurunziza and the meditation on his heritage

On Wednesday, june 09, 2021, the Rt Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, Senate Speaker, participated in the opening of a crusade of remembrance of one year after the death of His Excellency Pierre Nkurunziza and the meditation on his legacy. That crusade was organized by leading Party, the CNDD-FDD, for the period of 09-11 june, 2021, at “Agasaka ka Inarunyonga” stadium, in Ngozi, under the theme: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1: 8.

During his predication, the Rt Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, who is also the Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church in Burundi, focused especially on the theme of the day as well as some verses of the Holy Scriptures, notably proverbs 28:7.

He called on the participants to imitate the Late Nkurunziza who conformed with the Holy Scriptures.

He told them that the theme which was chosen for the crusade contains words that God spoke to Joshua whom He was assuring, after the death of Moses, that he was about to replace, that He would collaborate with him, just like he had done with Moses.

“Thus, as God was with Late Pierre Nkurunziza, He will also be with us”, he said

The Speaker of the Upper Chamber of the Parliament called on members of the Party CNDD-FDD to fear nothing, but rather to comply with the Holy scriptures, as they are the light that illuminates their way, so that they should not be lost.

He called on Burundians to imitate the heritage of the Late Nkurunziza since the commemoration alone is not enough.

Before the prayer for Burundi, he took that opportunity to thank His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic, for having elected the Late His Excellency Pierre Nkurunziza to the title of Supreme Guide of Patriotism.

Other people who had participated to the crusade are some parliamentarians, the Deputy Secretary General of the party CNDD-FDD, the Ombudsman of Burundi, the spouse of the Late Nkurunziza, the Governor of the province of Ngozi and the Secretary General of the Party CNDD-FDD in the province of Ngozi.
