Departure of the Second Deputy speaker of the Senate on a Working Mission to Kenya

On Thursday, December 5, 2024, Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza, Second Deputy speaker of the Senate, flew to Mombasa, Kenya, accompanied by senators and executives of the Senate. This working mission is part of the 14^th edition of the Inter-Parliamentary Games of the East African Community member countries, which will take place from December 6 to 18.

These games are organized each year, on a rotating basis, in one of the East African Community countries. They mainly aim at strengthening social cohesion among the populations of the member nations. They are also an essential vector for the consolidation of regional integration.

It should be noted that Burundi will host the 15^th edition of these games next year.
