On Saturday, November 22, 2025, the Second Deputy-speaker of the Senate, Honourable Clotilde Kampimbare, accompanied by two deputies from Bururi Commune in Burunga Province, met with communal councilors, village chiefs, representatives of decentralized services and religious denominations working in this administrative entity, in the chief-town of Muzenga zone of this commune.
The purpose of this meeting was to gather the population’s grievances regarding justice, economy, sanitation, security, and other issues.
Among the grievances raised by the participants were the shortage of agricultural inputs, the lack of electrification in some zones, the lack of drinking water in some locations, and the paving of the road connecting Bururi and Makamba Communes.
In closing the meeting, she urged them to focus on development work and to be competitive with other communes in terms of development. The Deputy Speaker of the Senate also recommended that administrative authorities respect the law in the performance of their duties. She further called upon the judicial authorities to adjudicate cases impartially.
