Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza elected 2nd Deputy Speaker of the Senate

On Monday, April 10, 2023, in a plenary session chaired by the Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, Senators unanimously elected Honourable Fabrice Nkurunziza, from the constituency of Rutana, to the post of Second Deputy Speaker of this Institution, replacing Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana who had tendered his resignation due to other duties.

A handover and resumption session was immediately organized shortly after the election.
