The Honourable Cyriaque Nshimirimana, Second Deputy-Speaker of the Senate, accompanied by parliamentarians elected in the constituency of Karusi, joined, on Thursday, July 22, 2021, the population of the village of Muyange, Bugenyuzi area and commune of that province, in the community development work which consisted in plotting contour lines in arable land to prevent erosion.
In his message to the population of that locality, he congratulated that province for a good place it occupies in development field. He called on them to group together in cooperatives and to combine their arable land so that they could easily get a loan for seeds, fertilizers and other agricultural products.
The Second Deputy- Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament also urged them to go and plot the same kinds of contour lines in their land properties. He advised them not to waste the harvest and to keep on preserving national unity.
Other people who took part in that activity were the governor of that province and the administrator of Bugenyuzi commune.
