On Thursday November 25, 2021, the First Deputy –Speaker of the Senate, Honorable Dénise Ndadaye, visited the “Sangwe” cooperatives of Ndava, Nyabihanga and Kayokwe communes, in Mwaro province in order to witness the situation of their development projects.
Honorable Ndadaye found them bankrupt because in all the places visited, breeding projects have closed. Following that situation, the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate invited the members of those cooperatives to pay visits to other provinces to acquire knowledge from other cooperatives that have successfully completed their missions.
She called on administrative officials to closely monitor the cooperatives’ activities in order to achieve the expected results and properly manage the credit funds allocated to them, even if it means repaying them at the right time.
Regarding the bankrupt cooperatives and that their projects had been carried out with the credits of the Government, Honorable Ndadaye clarified that the members of those cooperatives must repay them because they have mismanaged.
