Saturday, August 7, 2021, the Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, Speaker of the Senate, along with his wife, joined the populations of the commune of Isare, his native commune, to celebrate the communal day which took place on Nyarukenke village in the zone of Kibuye, in Bujumbura province.
In his speech, the Right Honourable Sinzohagera congratulated the communal administrator of Isare for the success in terms of peace and security in that locality. “The safeguarding of peace is a duty for every citizen,” he stressed.
The Speaker of the Upper House of the Parliament called on the populations of the Isare commune to develop their administrative entity while starting with their sub-village by building houses there. In addition, he suggested that the administrators at the communal level should give priority to the natives who invest their funds and efforts to develop their villages.
The Right Honourable Sinzohagera called on the administrative authorities to act as a good father. He urged them to avoid any kind of corruption, requesting rather to fairly serve the population as a whole. In addition, the Senate Speaker advised the people of the commune of Isare on various issues, including calling on them to help the communal authorities to collect taxes and to take ownership of development. At the same time, he congratulated those who have already started to implement their development projects on their native villages.
