Oath-taking of new members of the TRC, the INCHR and the Council for National Unity and Reconciliation
Christians urged to buckle down to development activities to strengthen independence

SPEECH DELIVERED BY THE SENATE SPEAKER, RIGHT HONOURABLE EMMANUEL SINZOHAGERA, WHILE CLOSING THE ORDINARY PARLIAMENTARY SESSION OF APRIL 2022
June 30, 2022In the afternoon of Monday, June 27, 2022, before the President of the Republic and the Parliament, the new members of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), the Independent National Commission on Human Rights (INCHR) and the Council for National Unity and Reconciliation (CNIDH) took an oath at the Palais des Congrès de Kigobe, in the Bujumbura City.
The new members for the TRC are Ambassador Stella Budiriganya, Ambassador Laurent Kavakure and Mr Abdallah Sadiki Kajandi.
For the INCHR, new members are Mr Gilbert Beco Njangwa and Mrs Chantal Niyonkuru.
As for the Council for National Unity and Reconciliation, new members who took the oath are Mr Olivier Nkurunziza, Mr Seth Nkeshimana, Mr Anicet Niyonkuru, Mrs Rose Ntawe, Mrs Mediatrice Bizabishaka and Mr Jean Marie Ndayihereje.
