Participation of the Right Honourable Senate Speaker in the 17th meeting of the Office of Speakers of Parliaments of the EAC

This May 28, 2024, the Senate Speaker, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, took the plane to Nairobi in the Republic of Kenya where he will take part in the 17th meeting of the Bureau of Speakers of Parliaments of member countries of the East African Community (EAC), which will be held on May 29, 2024.

During this meeting, the Speakers of the Chambers of Parliament will discuss topics related to the daily life of the member countries of the Community in accordance with Article 49 of the EAC Treaty.

Participants in this meeting will also discuss various reports, namely that of the 2023 interparliamentary games which took place in Kigali, Rwanda, and offer suggestions on the preparation of the 14th edition of these same games for this year.
