Pastors and evangelists urged to share acquired knowledge

Accompanied by his wife, the Senate Speaker and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church of Burundi, Right Honourable Emmanuel Sinzohagera, took part in the ceremonies of awarding certificates to pastors and evangelists who had just spent more than 3 years following bibles studies provided by REMA Burundi, this Friday, May 31, 2024.

These ceremonies took place at the United Methodist Church, Cankuzo District, Cankuzo Parish.

Alongside the bible studies, there were also other teachings related to the transformation of society, the well-being of families, the education, etc.

Addressing the Christians of that church, Right Honourable Sinzohagera made it known that learning is one thing, the application of acquired knowledge for the benefit of society is another thing. He took this opportunity to remind the beneficiaries of those teachings that they were not trained to become apostles or prophets, but rather to be servants of God by spreading His word.

Subsequently, the Senate Speaker congratulated these pastors and evangelists for this step taken and invited them to encourage their children to study, share the knowledge acquired with others and continue to strengthen their acquisitions through research. He also thanked the REMA Burundi association for the teachings it gives and the spouses of these pastors and evangelists for the understanding they gave to their spouses during this training period.
