PLENARY SESSION OF JUNE 5, 2024

In the year two thousand and twenty-four, on the fifth day of June, senators met in the Senate hemicycle in Gitega for the 193rd plenary session of the sixth legislature to:

1. adopt the modified program of activities that were planned for the period from May 22 to June 5, 2024; 

2. analyze and adopt the draft program of activities planned for the period from June 6 to 18, 2024.

The session was chaired by Right Honourable Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA, Senate Speaker and was attended by 27 senators. It  began as usual, with a prayer at 10:20 a.m.

Opening this session, the SenateSpeaker first welcomed all the senators who were present. Then, the Senate Speaker presented them the two aforementioned programmes and they were unanimously adopted.

The session, which took place in a very relaxed atmosphere, was closed at 10:30 with a prayer.
